It seems only fitting that we should feature Edwin Morgan OBE, the first Scots Makar, as our September Author of the Month. Edwin Morgan was born in Glasgow in 1920, and sadly died in August this year. He won the Queen's Gold Medal for poetry in 2000, the Weidenfeld Translation Prize in 2001, and many more. A special tribute event was held at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, and the festival was dedicated to his memory.
